Haiti - Justice : The most sought Southeast Florida criminal arrested in Haiti (UPDATE 3:37 p.m.)

Wesnel Isaac [33] of Haitian origin, the most wanted criminal of Southwest Florida for 7 years, after several years of investigation, was arrested Saturday in Carrefour, Haiti by Haiti's National Police, Thursday, members of the U.S. Marshals Service Florida / Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force traveled to Haiti to repatriate him to Fort Myers in the United States.

The Haitian government has been instrumental in the capture of Isaac, said U.S. Marshal John Kinsey, specifying that an information came to him a year ago,and that the latter allowed Marshals to finally get him.

Isaac has a lengthy criminal record, was for six months at the head of a list of 15 most wanted criminals, he's accused, among other of murder, kidnapping, robbery and attempted murder. This dangerous individual is also suspected of being an "enforcer" for the Haitian gang "Zoe Pound".

Isaac was the first from Southeast Florida to be listed on the U.S. Marshals' Top 15 most wanted. There was a $25,000 reward placed on him.

Since Friday, Wesnel Isaac is being held in Lee County Jail without bond on charges of second-degree murder, kidnapping and failure to appear.
