Haiti - Politic : Official visit to Turkey of Minister Duly Brutus
At the invitation of Chancellor Turkish, Ahmet Davutoğlu, the Haitian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Duly Brutus, will travel to Istanbul, Turkey, from May 12 to 14, to attend an important meeting of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). On the sidelines of the meeting, the Minister Brutus will seek to strengthen cooperation between Haiti and Turkey in areas such as agriculture, tourism, energy, education and infrastructure and will promote opportunities for investment in Haiti.

However, he felt it was important to establish a legal framework for Turkish investors to operate without too much difficulty. Agreements in this sense and other cooperation agreements between the two nations should be signed during the official visit of the Minister Brutus.
Note that in the framework of bilateral cooperation, Turkey completes the construction of a public hospital in Croix-des-Bouquets, funded to the tune of 1.7 million U.S. dollars, thanks to the donations of the Turkish people via the NGO "Kimse York Mu". This hospital whose work began there nearly 18 months, in partnership with Haitian and Turkish engineers should be inaugurated soon. In addition 50 wells are being drilled in several municipalities in the metropolitan region, financed by Turkey for a total of 375,000 U.S. dollars.
