Haiti - Diplomacy : American courtesy visit to the Ministry of Communications

As part of relations between Haiti and the United States, Rudy Hériveaux, the Minister of Communication, received last week, the visit of Mrs. Pamela White, Ambassador of the United States in Haiti.

At this cordial meeting, the Minister Hériveaux and American diplomat discussed the mission of the Ministry of Communication, which is to inform the public opinion, opinion leaders inside and outside the country on major reforms, the achievements of the administration Martelly-Lamothe and channel an unitary, rallying and uniting discourse to face the great challenges of the day.

It was also discussed the issue of elections. While recalling the commitments made by the Executive in connection with the application of El Rancho agreement, the Minister of Communication, reaffirmed the commitment of President Martelly and Prime Minister Lamothe to make every effort to achieve the elections before the end of the year.

For her part, Pamela White reiterated his country's commitment to support the electoral process in Haiti, while inviting the various political actors to take the polls to avoid any institutional vacuum.
