On Thursday, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries, the city of Jacmel, the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID), have signed an agreement for the rehabilitation project of the municipal complex of the municipality of Jacmel https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-9781-haiti-reconstruction-meeting-around-the-work-of-the-municipal-complex-of-jacmel.html

These infrastructure works, which will extend over a period of 24 months, funded to the tune of 750,000 Euros, will allow : the rehabilitation of the School Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny allowing municipal services to resume their activities in the best conditions; the rehabilitation of the retaining wall around the perimeter of the complex to minimize degradation and help secure the municipal complex; landscaping of the square oussaint Louverture to improve the integration of this space with the Municipal Complex and make it a place of public life and the management of the supervision of this work through the recruitment of international and local technical assistance according to the needs of the construction site.

These works will be done as much as possible with the help of students and workers of the School workshop Jacmel (EAJ).

Moreover, in the framework of revitalization of the historic center of Jacmel, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries, through its project "Destination Jacmel" is committed to support the financing of 46% of the operating budget of Technical Office of the Historical Center.
