Haiti - Politic : «The E of education is the basis for the future of the country» dixit Nesmy Manigat
Thursday, professor Nesmy Manigat (Member of the Commission bipartite of negotiation and Advisor to the Prime Minister) was installed in office as Minister of National Education and Vocational Training in the presence of, among others of outgoing Minister Vanneur Pierre, of the Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, of senior executives and employees of the Ministry.
Vanneur Pierre congratulated his successor to have been chosen for such a position of responsibility at the state level "Your experience of the Haitian economic and social reality and your belonging to the world of higher education should, among other things, facilitate you the work even if t should be recognize that the challenges ahead are significant."
The Prime Minister after having thanked and congratulated the outgoing Minister for the work and progress, has also attracted the attention of the new Minister of Education, on the many challenges it now faces while ensuring hbim the support of the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic. "We welcome you in government. Your task is particularly important and difficult. It is to carry out the vision and dream of President Martelly for education," recalling that the Ministers within his openness and effectiveness government, were chosen based on their skills and professionalism.
The new Minister has recognized the work done by his predecessor in the past 20 months in office, promised, in collaboration with the staff of the institution, to meet the many challenges of the education system, while continuing on the lines already drawn by the outgoing Minister and deliver results in the tasks assigned by the Head of State and Prime Minister. He announced the strengthening of governance in this sector while emphasizing that "Leading a Ministry such as Education is not a privilege. This is an opportunity to serve my country. To land, I rely on the support of all. You can rely on me [...] The E of education is the basis for the future of the country."
