Friday, Florence D. Guillaume, Minister of Public Health, chaired an important meeting on tripartite cooperation Brazil-Cuba-Haiti. Some Directorates, which receive technical and financial support in the framework of this cooperation, presented their workplans for 2014 include :

The Directorate of Health Promotion and Protection of the Environment (DPSPE) in Communication for Health and Mental Health;

The Directorate of Laboratories, of Epidemiology and Research (DELR) in the Epidemiological Surveillance and Public Health Laboratories;

The Directorate of Training and Improvement of Health Sciences (DFPSS) for Community Health Agents Multipurpose;

The Directorate of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (MWED) to strengthen routine immunization and increasing immunization coverage;

The Directorate of Organization of Health Services (DOSS) in hospital infrastructure;

The Health Directorate of West (DSO) within the framework of support to health institutions of the department, particularly in the care of people with reduced mobility.

Among what was announced at this meeting, we can quote that in the coming months: 3 Community Referral Hospitals (UNHCR), will be operational in Carrefour, Beudet and Bon Repos ; a studio of audio-visual production will be installed at the Ministry of Health with trained technicians and a program of education and awareness of the population on health will be distributed through a network of community radio ; of multipurpose community health workers will be deployed across the country.

The Minister of Health, the executives of Directorates and members of the cooperation of Brazil and Cuba, exchange comments and recommendations for the proper functioning of this cooperation program whose activities of this phase are planned until December 2014. Participants hope that the intended results will be achieved to allow the renewal of this program on a larger scale.
