Wednesday, at the head of a delegation composed of representatives of the Haiti Travel Association (ATH) and entrepreneurs of the Haitian Craft sector, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, arrived at Berlin ITB Trade Show in order to highlight the tourist attractions in Haiti.

During his participation in the World's Leading Travel Trade Show, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, met on the sidelines of the event, Kay-Uwe Maros, Head of new destinations at "AIDA Cruise" (A German company mainly active in the cruise industry).

In addition, the Minister will have discussions with the International Union Travel (TUI) and the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO). She will also meet among others, the Spanish hotel chain Hotels & Resorts (RIU) and the tour operator "Apple Vacations".

Always with the aim to promote Haiti as a destination, the head of the Ministry of Tourism will grant an interview to the prestigious newspaper Der Tagesspiegel.

One of the highlights of this first participation of Haiti at ITB Berlin was the launch Thursday of the Craft Village, that the Ministry of Tourism will build in Milot, following a partnership with the Organization of the United Nations International Development Organization (UNIDO) and with the support of the European Union (EU) and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) at ITB Berlin. This presentation took place in the presence of, among others Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of the UNWTO and Edner Jean Nelson, the National Authorising Officer of UE in Haiti and Marlen Bakalli of UNIDO.

This Friday, a cocktail-debate will be given to the Embassy of Haiti in the presence of diplomats and ambassadors Friends of Haiti and the Haitian community, where the Minister of Tourism will make a presentation entitled "Revival of Tourism in Haiti" which will be followed by a session of questions and answers. During the evening will also be presented the Haitian-Quebec singer Rachelle Jeanty.
