Haiti - Health : 151 people received care on the stand of the First Lady

This facility has allowed 151 patients to receive medical care that required their cases, to this we must add a space specially reserved for women victims of rape.

Moreover, in the context of the fight against malaria, together with the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP), of fumigation activities of the city and destruction of breeding sites were conducted. 2000 nets were distributed in hotels, shelters, health institutions in Raboteau and KSoley as well as the Providence Hospital.

The First Lady of the Republic, Mrs. Sophia Martelly, in collaboration with several institutions, intervened at different levels to support the revelers in difficulty during the course of the three fat days in Gonaïves.

At the level of road users, a zone of prevention has been established. Ambulances were mobilized and thehealth centers strengthened to ensure rapid support of victims. More than 250 brigadiers and rescue workers of Public Security have been deployed all along the Route Nationale #1 to Gonaïves

In collaboration with the MSPP and the PATHFINDER project, a monitoring service of cases was also established to ensure efficient management of data for processing.

For her part, the First Lady of the Republic strongly congratulates the MSPP, the Secretary of State for Public Security, the National Police of Haiti (PNH), the Directorate of Traffic and Traffic Police, the Office of Insurance Work Accident, Sickness and Maternity (OFATMA), the Haitian Red Cross, the National Ambulance Centre, PATHFINDER, physicians, nurses, rescue workers of the Mouvement Tèt kale (MTK), the stretcher bearers and all thosewho in one way or another, have contributed to the success of these activities.
