Ms. Dieudonne Luma Etienne, Regional Director Northern Ministry of Tourism and Coordinator of Tourist info booth implemented for the 2014 National Carnival in Gonaïves, recalls that on the sidelines of three days fat (2, 3 and 4 March 2014), a series of free daily excursions in Artibonite, has been programmed, as was done in the previous edition of the National Carnival in Cap-Haitien. The carnival festivities will serve once again as a pretext for Revellers to discover the natural, cultural and historical attractions of the second most populous department of the country.

Free excursions available : (meals not included)

- Hot Springs (thermal waters from Boynes to Port a Piment)

- Palace with 365 DOORS and to Crète-à-Pierrot

- Triangle of Lakou (Soukri - Souvenance - Badjo)

- Visit of the Plant Ti-Malice

- Beach Fontaine Bleu

- Fort Décidé (in Marchand Dessalines)

A bus service Dignité, established by the Ministry, will transport visitors for free in excursions. Heroes Square of Independence was chosen as the starting point for all excursions.
