Haiti - Sports : Young cyclist Faryl Junior Amazan, passed away...

Thursday, Faryl Junior Amazan (23) one of the best cyclist of his generation tragically lost his life in Les Cayes in a serious traffic accident. In a statement the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action renders a final tribute to a young athletes and presents its deepest sympathies.

"The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action has learned with dismay and sorrow the tragic death of young cyclist Faryl Junior Amazan occurred Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Les Cayes after a serious traffic accident.

Aged 23 years, Junior Amasan Faryl, has quickly distinguished among the best of his generation and did not take long to integrate the junior national team cycling. Thirst for victory, his passion for cycling led him to train ardently to continue to achieve the best performance in national and international competitions.

With the departure of Faryl Junior Amazan, he country lost a talented cyclist who valiantly represented it in the competition of Road Cycling at VIIth of the Francophone Games in Nice in 2013. His performances helped Haiti to be ranked among the first 10 over 50 participating countries.

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action presents its deepest sympathy to his family, to the Haitian Amateur Cycling Federation and the Haitian sports movement."
