Haiti - Social : Commemorations in Miami

The Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in Miami, invites the Haitian community within its jurisdiction, to take part in commemorative events in memory of the victims of 12 January 2010. To this end, the Consulate inform all of the following programs :

On Sunday January 12, 2014 at 5:00 pm, « RESCOL » will organize a march from NE 54th street to the Little Haiti Cultural Center located at 212-260 NE 59th Terrace. At 6:30 pm, there will be a mass held, in memory of the victims, at the Notre Dame of Haiti Catholic Church in Little Haiti.

At 7:30 pm, a reception will follow at the Little Haiti Cultural Center. Furthermore, at 4:00 pm, in Boca Raton, Lynn University together with the Consulate General of Haiti in Miami will host an interfaith service at the AG Theater of the University; following the service, there will be a march at the Memorial Plaza at the university.

On Monday January 13, 2014 at 10:00 am.m, Lynn University will organize a community event to remember the day and remember their students who were among the victims at the Hotel Montana. This year, the theme is "Feed the children of the world". Students will take part in this activity during which they will be packaging food to be sent to children in Haiti.

While relying on the participation of the community by imposing number, the Consul General urges all to inspire of courage and great achievements of the administration Martelly-Lamothe to meet together the challenges that await us ahead.

Haiti will not perish !
