Haiti - Economy : 5th annual Haiti Business, Investment Expo & Conference

The 5th Edition of the HRA Business Investment Expo & Conference which offers attendees an unique platform to access information on investment opportunities, foster partnerships and collaboration, promote diaspora engagement, and enable the sharing of best practices, will take place in Haiti on 17-18 January at Karibe Convention Center in Petion-Ville.

Pamela White, the U. S. Ambassador to Haiti will address the participants of the HRA 2014 Business Investment Expo, on Friday, January 17, 2014. "HRA is thrilled that U.S. Ambassador Pamela White is supporting the Business Expo," declared Firmin Backer, President of HRA. "I applaud her hard work and commitment to strengthening Haiti and I’m excited about the message she will deliver to engage and encourage members of the Diaspor a and international investors to consider investing in Haiti."

Prominent business and government leaders also on the agenda include : Dr. Rene Jean Jumeau, Minister of Energy , Andy Rene, Director of CFI, Bernard Gousse, Presidential Commission for Business Reform, Christopher Levy, Jamaica Boilers, Charles Clermont, SOFHIDES, Richard Buteau, Haitian Tourism Association, Gesly Leveque, Banque Populaire Haitienne, Mathias Pierre, KayTek/ GaMA and Gilbert Gonzales, Café Rebo.

Recall that since its launch in 2010, the business expo has attracted over 2000 participants from five countries and 22 states. About 100 companies have showcased their products and services in the marketplace pavilion and 12 entrepreneurs have pitched their ideas during the conference’s signature activity, the "HRA Investor's Tank". The HRA Expo is regarded as the premier gathering of private sector executives, investors, entrepreneurs, senior government officials, and non-profit organizations.
