Haiti - Politic : Important Haitian delegation in Venezuela
Sunday, President Michel Martelly, at the head of a large delegation including the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, Pierre Richard Casimir, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Thomas Jacques, Minister of Agriculture, Philippe Cinéas, Secretary State for Public Works, and Michael Lecoprs, the Director General of the Bureau of monetization of Development assistance programs (BMPAD), left the country for Venezuela where he must participate, 16 and 17 December at the 9th Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of America (ALBA - PetroCaribe)
The Head of State will participate in meetings on the process of development and economic integration in the region. He will also work with leaders present on the recommendations made during the 11th Meeting of the Ministerial Council of Petrocaribe and the 2nd Meeting of the Economic Zone Petrocaribe (PTA) held in Port-au-Prince, 6 and 7 September 2013.
The participation of President Martelly to the summit, which is of great importance for the country, beneficiary of Petrocaribe funds for the realization of several large social and infrastructure projects, will offer him the opportunity to reaffirm the commitment of his Administration to strengthen Haiti's participation in this cooperation mechanism and use the resources of this funds optimally in the context of reconstruction and development.
