Friday, Laurent Lamothe as Minister of Planning and Cooperation received in his office the heads of construction companies Vorbe et Fils and Estrella, in order to follow up on the different work performed by these two companies through the 10 departments.

During these exchanges, the company Estrella presented rehabilitation works of stretch crossroads Freycineau (Saint Marc) / Bigot (Gonaïves), Artibonite Department, of the National # 1, which is executed at 78.92%. The work started on October 20, 2011, will end on September 25, 2014. The company Estrella also presented various works carried out in other cities such the road of carrefour Joffre in the department of Artibonite, which is 15% completed and the road of Bienac K-soleil in the same department which are fully completed.

The company Vorbe et Fils in turn, provides the assurance to the Minister Lamothe that the rehabilitation of the road section Petite Rivière de Nippes / Petit Trou de Nippes (Nippes department), whose work began July 3, 2013 and executed at 30%, will be fully completed in January 2015. At present 15 km on the 30 km planned, are being executed. The rehabilitation of the road of Paillant is performed at 80%. The road of Canapé-vert in the department of the West and the the complete rehabilitation of the road Desdunes in the Artibonite department among others, is completed.

Following these discussions, the Minister of Planning urged the two companies to work tirelessly to deliver on time every construction works or of rehabilitation underway on the territory, strerssing to those responsible of Estrella and Vorbe et Fils, that the Government relied heavily on infrastructure, which are essential for socio-economic development and the well-being of the population.
